Fifty Scouts from across Kentdale battled it out in this years Scout cooking competition.
The eleven teams, cooking on just a double-burner stove and with a budget of only £10 the Scouts were challenged to produce and serve a three-course meal within two hours.
A fantastic variety of dishes were produced including a chicken carbonara, creamy garlic mushrooms, salmon tagliatelle, and a lemon posset.
Andrew Burton, one of the tasters said "I can honestly say that not one bad meal was produced, the standard was so high that deciding a winner has been a very difficult task".
The winning team from 1st Kendal produced a meal of fish goujons to start, followed by lamb burger and chips, with Eton mess to finish. The second and third placed teams were from 5th/8th Kendal and 4th Kendal respectively.
The top placed teams will go on to represent Kentdale at an inter-District competiton against South-West Lakes later in the year.
